The Starfish Pack Program
The Starfish Pack Program is one that is close to our hearts and values. This program was created in response to teachers hearing the cry of their students. Teachers were heartbroken to hear their students were coming to class Monday morning hungry, reporting that they had not eaten over the weekend. Sadly, hundreds of elementary school children have been identified by our local School Districts as being in need of food over the weekend. Through the Starfish Pack Program, hundreds of backpacks are packed with food and are going home with students over the weekend from 116 schools, and from 18 different cities throughout the lower mainland.
Teachers have reported improvements in children’s reading skills, math skills, ability to focus and to do partner work.
The Graze Company pledges to donate a portion of all proceeds to the Starfish Pack program and is proud to support local children in need.
